You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?"
~G. Bernard Shaw
Welcome to my online sketchbook, this was orginally intended to be my New Year's Resolution, but I couldn't keep up with posting one sketch a day. So if you see some posts titled "sketch #" then it's an original sketch from when I first started. Yes, I am too lazy to change them. I've decided that instead I'm scanning everything from my sketchbook and backdating them so that I can see how far I've come. All posts will be labeled in memories, so that may be the easiest way to look through. Everything is posted under a livejournal cut so that I don't stretch out your friends' page if you friend my journal, and you're free to do so. :)
I would like to note that I'm inspired by all sorts of visuals, from sculptures to manga books, so I try to cover broad range in my work. Most common subjects include angels, fantasy, concept work, people, and animals. I would like to branch out and sketch landscapes, cars, and buildings.
**It might not bother some people, but this journal does contain artistic nudity, some gore and blood, crude language and art, and if that bothers you, too bad, go back to your coloring books.**

The Artist:
My real name is Erika, but I prefer Comet. Long story short, its just a nickname. Visual arts are more of a hobby to me, but I think its good to develeop my drawing skills so I have something to fall back on. My main plan is to work on my acting, and I've recently been accepted into the Fine Arts Center in Theatre and may start working next summer with the Shakespeare in the Park Acting troupe.
I encourage you to comment and constructively critisize my work, this keeps me motivated to draw and work hard. Thank you for taking the time to look at my journal. <3

- Again, another manga artist who has inspired me greatly with his original style and talent! Having the same name as one of his Megatokyo characters doesn't hurt either. You can find links to his online comics from here. ****
- Photography counts as art! Some very inspiring shots of bands by my friend Bekki, if you see some of her photos re-drawn by me, don't be surprised. This girl's got talent! *****Interests (33):
